Swing Arm Sliders

Increasingly more production sportbikes use expensive cast aluminum swingarms and the popularity of high-mount exhausts leaves those swingarms exposed to damage. The most common protection solution to date has been to make oversized pit stand spools that double as sliders.

Motorcycles with relatively small bolts holding the spools on may see the bolt shear off in a crash. Bikes with larger spool mounting bolts have the stresses transferred to the welded-on spool tabs themselves Those tabs can rip off the swingarm causing hundreds of dollars of unnecessary damage. We think a spool should be a spool and a slider should be a slider and were the first to offer axle-mounted swingarm sliders.

These sliders protect the swingarm, wheel rim, rear axle and axle nut in the event of a fall. They attach with the same convenient, reusable locking mechanism used on our fork sliders where possible. Smaller axles require kits utilizing a rod passed through the axle to attach the sliders. Optionally, all swingarm sliders are designed to be mounted on a rod if you desire. All hardware and instructions required to mount the sliders are included in the kit.
