   Got these to put on my Kawasaki z650. By default, these do NOT work on the z650, but I emailed Steffen at Rhino, and he made a custom set that will work for the z650. They’re amazing – solid, great look, and nicely weighted. Mounted a pair of CRG Arrow mirrors, and it looks perfect.

     Yes they do, Bryce. The change to the z650 bars happened in 2017, so your 2014 would use the M8 kit.

     Once mounted they look the same. The reason for the Gen 2 mounts is that they work with more mirror brands, specifically like Rizoma and Motogadget, that cannot mount onto the M8 mounts.

   I installed these on a 2020 Z900 and I am very happy with the fit and finish. CRG mirrors fit perfectly, but knockoff mirrors will not due to the clamp being too wide. Top quality product that is worth the money in my opinion.

      The information I have on that is not clear. The parts diagram shows a stock bar end that threads directly onto your clipons with a large thread (M16 or M18 by the looks of it). I talked to a customer last week though and what he had was more like the standard bar end that threads in with an M8 bolt. If you do have the M8 bolt then this is your kit. I would be glad to have a look at it if you can send a picture of your bars with the bar end removed to info@rhinomoto.com.

      These do not work with mirrors with closed style brackets like those have. You’ll need the Gen 2 parts found here: https://rhinomoto.com/https:/www.rhinomoto.com/m8-bolt-kawasaki-gen-2-mirror-mounts/. We are currently out but they are #3 in the run queue. It will be about 4 weeks until we have them run and powder coated. I can let you know when they are in.

    Hello. I have a 2020 Z650. I read that these would not fit, but can get custom ones that would allow CRG mirrors to be mounted. Is this possible? Thank you.

      Yes, Kawi changed those bar ends for 2020. The spacers used in earlier years are now too long and it sets the mounts out too far from the grips. I am able to shorten them though. I just sent the first set out and am waiting for confirmation that I got the length right and then I can do more.

      Sicco,

      The stock bolts on your bike are M8, which means that the thread diameter is 8mm. That bolt does use a 6mm hex key, so that is possibly what you are referring to. This kit will fit your bike.

      The Gen 1s are a direct bolt-on replacement for your stock bar ends. The Gen 2s are a little more complicated on the install. The body is actually two pieces so that you can get closed bracket style mirrors onto them, and then the ring goes on to complete the look. It then all gets bolted onto the bike. The Gen 1 gap is .455″. The Gen 2 gap is currently .560″ to accept wider mirrors, but we are reducing that down to 500″

    Had contact with Steffen due to the black gen 2 not being in stock. He replied very quickly to my mails and even went as far to check if the bar ends I was inquiring about were the correct one for my bike. Kept me updated when he received a new batch and it was delivered very quickly. Even for international shipping standards. They fit my bike perfectly.
